DOM Absorption Trade
Entry Logic
- Entry is a long position when a large number of contracts are being absorbed on the bid side of the Depth of Market (DOM) at a key support level.
- Confirmation is the bid size holding steady or increasing despite heavy selling.
- Timeframe is the tick chart.
- Location is at a support level.
- Market is in a range or a slow uptrend.
Exit Logic
- Profit target is the next resistance level.
- Scale out 50% at a 3:1 risk-reward ratio.
- Trail the stop loss below the low of the last 10 ticks.
- Exit if the bid size starts to decrease.
- Exit on a bearish candle.
- Exit if the price does not move in your favor within 1 minute.
- Exit if volume dries up.
Stop Loss Structure
- Hard stop is placed 3 ticks below the entry price.
- Soft stop is when the bid size disappears.
- Maximum dollar loss is $30 per trade.
- Maximum percent loss is 0.3% of the account.
- Structural stop is below the support level.
Risk Management Framework
- Risk 0.15% of the account per trade.
- Daily loss limit is 0.6% of the account.
- Weekly loss limit is 1.8% of the account.
- Maximum drawdown is 6%.
- Risk-reward ratio must be at least 1:4.
