You Have Setups That Work And Setups That Are Quietly Bleeding You. Your P&L Alone Can't Tell You Which Is Which

Every trade you log tells you whether you won or lost. Almost none of them tell you whether the setup itself has a real, statistical edge, or whether the trade only worked because you got lucky on a setup that loses over time.

You'll get a manual, Edge Finder-style scorecard: score every setup you trade on win rate, average R-multiple, and tilt correlation side by side, the same three things the best-reviewed trading platforms build entire subscription products around, done here on paper, once, for one price.

You'll get a process column that scores rule-adherence per trade, kept completely separate from raw P&L, because a trade that wins by breaking your own rules is not evidence the rule was wrong, it's a coin flip that happened to land right.

You'll get a simple tilt-state tag for every entry, so you can see, in black and white, whether your best-looking setup is actually your most tilted one. It pairs naturally with The Tilt Meter if you want a scored, in-session read on tilt itself; this scorecard is where that same tilt tag gets tracked setup by setup, week over week.

You'll get a weekly rollup page that turns weeks of scattered entries into one page: which setups have a real, repeatable edge, and which ones are quietly costing you money no matter how good they feel to trade.

This won't run the numbers for you automatically.

It isn't trying to.

What it does is turn "I think my breakout setup is my best one" into a number you actually calculated, from your own trades, so the setup you scale into is the one the math backs, not the one you simply remember winning on.

  • Covers The setup scorecard grid, a process-vs-outcome tracker, a tilt-tag log, and a weekly rollup worksheet
  • Includes A worked example scoring two real-looking setups side by side, plus step-by-step instructions
  • Delivery Instant download right after checkout, yours to keep, no expiring access

A manual scoring system you fill in from your own trades. It is not a broker-connected analytics platform and does not auto-import your trade history.

What's Inside

What's Inside The Strategy Edge Scorecard

  • 01The setup scorecard grid: score every setup you trade on win rate, average R-multiple, and tilt correlation, side by side on one page, instead of scattered across a broker's monthly statement.
  • 02The full point table and the four edge zones, Cut It, Watch It, Keep It, Scale It, so scoring a setup takes minutes, not a spreadsheet formula you have to build yourself first.
  • 03A process-vs-outcome tracking column that scores rule-adherence per trade, kept entirely separate from whether the trade won or lost, so a rule-breaking winner and a rule-following loser get scored honestly, not just remembered as "a win" and "a loss."
  • 04A simple tilt-state tag for every entry, plain-language states you assign yourself, so you can see whether your highest-scoring setup on paper is quietly your most tilted one in practice. Pairs naturally with The Tilt Meter for anyone who wants a live, in-session tilt score too.
  • 05A weekly rollup page: one worksheet that takes a week's worth of scattered entries and turns them into a ranked list, which setups have a real, repeatable edge, and which ones are quietly costing you money.
  • 06One fully worked example: two setups that both "feel" like winners, scored side by side, showing exactly how the scorecard catches the one that's actually losing money underneath a good-feeling streak.
  • 07Blank scorecard grids and log sheets for as many setups as you trade, built to be filled in by hand, printed, or typed into a PDF editor, whichever you actually use.
  • 08One-time purchase. No subscription, no broker connection, no login, and no account to lose access to. The file is yours to keep, permanently, the moment you download it.

Natural pairing: The Strategy Edge Scorecard tracks tilt setup by setup, over weeks. The Tilt Meter scores tilt live, trade by trade, inside a single session. Most traders end up wanting both; neither one requires the other to work on its own.

Behind The Tool

Why Win Rate Alone Never Tells You What You Think It Does

Win Rate Without R-Multiple Is Half A Number

A strategy that wins 70% of the time can still lose money overall if its average loss is large enough relative to its average win. A strategy that wins only 30% of the time can be strongly profitable if its winners are large relative to its losers. Win rate on its own answers "how often," not "how much," which is exactly why the scorecard pairs win rate with average R-multiple instead of scoring either one alone.

This is the same idea behind expectancy, the formula that decides whether a strategy is worth trading at all: (win rate × average win) minus (loss rate × average loss). A setup can look impressive on win rate and still fail that math. The scorecard doesn't run the full expectancy formula for you, but scoring win rate and R-multiple side by side, per setup, is the fastest way to notice when the two numbers disagree.

A Winning Trade Isn't Proof The Rule Was Right

Outcome and process are two different questions. Outcome asks whether a specific trade made or lost money. Process asks whether you actually followed your own plan on that trade, the setup you said you'd take, the size you said you'd use, the stop you said you'd honor. A rule-breaking trade that happens to win teaches the wrong lesson if it's only ever scored as "a win." Score the process separately, and the pattern becomes visible over weeks, not just after one lucky or unlucky trade.

Tilt overlap works the same way. A setup can score well on win rate and R-multiple and still be a setup you mostly trade while tilted, meaning its real numbers, on a clear-headed day, are unknown. Tagging tilt state per entry is what turns that blind spot into something you can actually see on the weekly rollup page.

Weights: win rate up to 25 points, average R-multiple up to 30, process score up to 25, low tilt overlap up to 20. Zones: 0–39 Cut It, 40–59 Watch It, 60–79 Keep It, 80–100 Scale It. The full workbook walks you through scoring every setup you trade this same way, plus the weekly rollup that ranks them against each other.

Background only. The workbook itself walks the full scorecard end to end, across as many setups as you trade, with blank grids for your own numbers.

Common Questions

Does this connect to my broker or auto-import my trades?

No. This is a manual scorecard you fill in from your own trade records, the same numbers you'd pull from a broker statement or your existing journal. There's no login, no account, and nothing to connect.

Is this a subscription like Tradervue, TraderSync, or Edgewonk?

No. It's a one-time purchase and an instant download. You keep the file permanently, at no recurring cost, with no annual-only billing and no forced upgrade path.

Does this guarantee I'll find a profitable setup?

No, and we wouldn't claim that even if it sounded better. This scorecard is a measurement tool: it helps you see which setups your own numbers actually support and which ones they don't. The 14-day guarantee covers the tool itself, not trading outcomes.

Do I need The Tilt Meter too?

No, they work independently. The Tilt Meter scores tilt live, in the moment, during a session. This scorecard tracks tilt tags per setup, over weeks, alongside win rate, R-multiple, and process. Some traders want both; this one works fully on its own.
