How this is calculated

IV Rank formula: (current IV minus 52-week low) divided by (52-week high minus 52-week low), times 100.
This is different from IV Percentile, which counts the percentage of trading days IV was below the current level. This tool only calculates IV Rank.
IV Rank shows where current volatility sits inside its own one-year range. It does not predict whether volatility will rise or fall from here.
You supply the current IV and 52-week high and low yourself. This tool does not pull live market data and cannot verify the numbers you enter.
