Does session VWAP include pre-market or after-hours trading?

This timer only tracks the regular 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern session. Some platforms calculate a separate pre-market or after-hours VWAP, or none at all, which this tool does not cover.

Q: How much time is left until VWAP resets for the next trading session?

Click Show VWAP Status. If the regular US session, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern, is currently open, the timer shows elapsed time since VWAP reset at the open. Otherwise it shows a live countdown to the next 9:30 AM Eastern open, skipping weekends.

How this is calculated

A session-anchored VWAP resets at the start of each new regular trading session, 9:30 AM US Eastern Time for US equities, and accumulates volume-weighted price data until the session closes at 4:00 PM Eastern.
This timer shows elapsed time since the open while the regular session is live, and a countdown to the next 9:30 AM Eastern open the rest of the time, correctly skipping weekends.
This does not cover pre-market or after-hours VWAP, which some platforms calculate separately or not at all.
Market holidays are not accounted for. On a holiday, the countdown will point to a time when the market is actually still closed.

Risk & liability disclaimer: This timer reads your device's clock and converts it to US Eastern Time using your browser's built-in time zone data. It does not account for market holidays and does not pull live market status from any exchange or data feed. This is not financial advice and is not a trading signal.
