Why does risk across multiple brokerage accounts matter?

Per-account risk limits only see what is open in that one account. Log the open dollar risk at each account you trade from to see your combined total risk across every account at once, a figure no single broker shows you.

Does this tracker save my accounts between visits?

No. It only stores entries in your browser for the current session. Refreshing or closing the page clears the log, so use your own spreadsheet or journal for a lasting record.

Am I tracking my true total risk across more than one brokerage account?

The market doesn't reward being right. It rewards managing being wrong, cheaply.

How this is calculated

Each entry adds its open risk dollar amount to a running combined total across every account you log, whether that is more than one broker, a prop firm account, or a separate crypto exchange.
Risk limits set at the level of a single account do not account for what is open somewhere else. A trader within their limit at each of three accounts can still be carrying three accounts' worth of combined risk at the same time.
This log only stores entries in your browser for this session. Use your own trading journal or spreadsheet for a permanent, ongoing record.

Risk & liability disclaimer: This tracker only totals the entries you log yourself in your browser. It does not access any of your actual brokerage or exchange accounts, is not stored or transmitted anywhere, and does not know your actual open positions. Trading involves risk of loss.
