How much time do I have left to decide on my options position before expiration?

Q: How much time do I have left to decide on my options position before expiration?

Set a specific clock time before the close as your own decision deadline, and this tool counts down to it live, so you decide whether to close, roll, or let the position expire before time pressure forces the decision for you.

How this is calculated

This counts down to a clock time you choose, not to the exchange's actual close, so set it earlier than the close to give yourself actual decision time.
The three choices on expiration day are almost always the same: close the position, roll it to a later expiration, or let it expire, exercise, or be assigned.
Picking your deadline before the pressure of the closing bell tends to produce a more deliberate decision than deciding in the final minutes.
The countdown only updates while this tab stays open in your browser.
