Am I ready to start trading options, or should I stick to stock first?

How this is calculated

• The quiz scores 8 questions covering trading experience, understanding of assignment, implied volatility, defined-risk versus undefined-risk positions, planning habits, paper trading, emotional reaction to a sharp loss, and whether you'd be risking money you can afford to lose.
• Each answer is worth 1 to 4 points, for a possible range of 8 to 32.
• Even at the highest tier, this quiz still points toward starting with defined-risk strategies, such as long calls, long puts, or vertical spreads, before considering undefined-risk strategies like naked short options.
• This is a self-check, not a certification. A high score does not guarantee profitable trades, and a lower score does not mean you're incapable of learning. It's a signal for where to focus before risking money.
