What should my rule be for handling assignment when I'm running the wheel strategy?

Q: What should my rule be for handling assignment when I'm running the wheel strategy?

Generates a personal, printable rules card covering the timing of selling a covered call after assignment, a cap on assignment stock as a percent of the account, a roll-versus-accept preference, and a limit on repeated assignments for the same underlying.

Most traders blow up chasing the setup they missed, not the one in front of them.

How this is calculated

Assignment is a normal, expected outcome of the wheel strategy, not an error. These rules exist so the response to it is decided in advance, not improvised in the moment.
Capping assignment stock as a percent of your account keeps one underlying from becoming an oversized, unhedged position after a series of assignments.
A hard limit on repeated assignments for the same underlying forces an honest reassessment instead of continuing to sell puts on a stock that keeps landing in your lap.
Pair this with the premium target calculator above so your strike selection is not driven purely by chasing a monthly income number.
